Back to School Expo 2012 teamed up with No Strings Attached Clothing Giveaway in August to provide school supplies, backpacks, and gently-used clothing to Volusia County children (K-5)! Cindy Crandall, Jenny Sylvester, and Lorrie Blandy coordinated this huge community effort to meet the needs of many children and their families. Check out the photo album!
Vow Renewal Ceremony - March 2012
After participating in a two-month Marriage Boot Camp, eight EAC couples renewed their marriage vows in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Pastor Dave at the culmination of the Sunday service. Dr. Greg Samano delivered the challenging message, "Marriage: The Heart of God," prior to the ceremony.
Baptism Service - October 2011
About 30 EAC attenders made a public declaration of their faith by following the Lord in baptism at the Edgewater YMCA pool on Sunday evening, October 2. Pastors Dave and Kevin officiated.
Project: Acts 29
On a beautiful Sunday in October 2011, the congregation was dismissed after a few words by Pastor Dave and asked to put their love into action by going to the Edgewater Winn-Dixie to buy groceries for several local food pantries and baby items for Grace House Pregnancy Resource Center. The generous response was overwhelming and much appreciated! See our folks in action.
Mali - November 2011
Pastor Dave, Jamie Sulle, and Joliene and Molly Smith traveled to Mali to minister to an annual convention for missionaries. This African country has nearly 15 million people, yet only 1% are Christians. It is the third poorest nation in the world. Mali is a land in need of light and the Christian & Missionary Alliance is shining the light of Christ’s love in the midst of the darkness of poverty, sickness, and Islam.
Early Bird Thanksgiving Celebration
Some of our members participated in this huge event for the needy on November 19, 2011 at City Island Park in Daytona Beach. Organized by Higher Ground Ministries of DeLand, churches from all over Florida and beyond came together to provide an early Thanksgiving meal, live Christian music, clothing, haircuts, flu shots, prize drawings, face painting, and special speakers - all free of charge to the community! The gospel was presented and new believers were baptized in the Halifax River that day.
